Personal Bolivia highlights: The variety of colours that can be seen everywhere – like in the many different markets or the traditional clothing and at the Carnaval de Oruro and the breathtaking landscape of the Andean highlands.

Responsibilities: Public relations and social media, Betterplace.org.

Personal Bolivia highlights: The practice of thanking each person participating for sharing a meal after eating together and the beautiful variety of music and dances.

Elly Daus
Treasurer
Responsibilities: Finance, public relations, member care.

Personal Bolivia highlights: The Aguayos, colourful woven cloths that are carried on the back as a practical carrier bag. Especially children can be transported easily and are usually very calm due to the physical closeness. I myself had the joy of having a child in an aguayo tied to my back- it immediately became calm and slept.

Personal Bolivia highlights: The lively commotion on the streets and in the markets and being able to get off the minibus at any point you want.

Laura Ferrufino Choque
Responsibilities: contact person for Renovación, logo and design.
2012-2017 full-time social worker at Renovación Madre Niño.
Personal Bolivia highlights: The cultural diversity, full of traditions, family bonds and faith, and the friendly nature of the people, who proudly share their culture with the whole world.

Teresa Franke
Responsibilities: contact person for Renovación, social media, Betterplace.org.

Personal Bolivia highlights: The great attachment to the Pachamama, Mother Earth, for whom rituals are held regularly. No one forgets to pour a few sips of beer or liquor on the earth at any celebration.

Personal Bolivia highlights: Sopa de Maní (a heavenly peanut soup) and the colour combination of deep blue sky and orange-brown Andes.

Personal Bolivia highlights: Api y Pastel (a warm, spiced drink made from red corn and the snack that goes with it) and the spectacle of the strong contours and shadows cast by the Andean sun.
